Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) and the ACLU have decided to end a fight with North Carolina over privacy.

The American Civil Liberties Union has announced that it has ended its dispute with the North Carolina Department of Revenue over the state’s efforts to collect personal information about Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) customers.

The ACLU, which joined a federal suit Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) filed against North Carolina last year, said that the state’s tax collectors won’t ask for information that could be used to tie people to the books, music and movies they buy online.

Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) stocks were at 185.3 at the end of the last day’s trading. There’s been a 7.5% movement in the stock price over the past 3 months.
