Boeing (NYSE:BA) has partnered with the IFTC to enhance its flight training capability in Europe.

Boeing (NYSE:BA) announced that it has teamed up with the Flight Training Center (IFTC) to add a new “green” flight training center to the Boeing (NYSE:BA)Flight Services training network.

The facility, developed by IFTC operates on solar power and incorporates several other environmentally progressive features, making it the first self-sustaining flight training center in the world.

Sherry Carbary, Vice President, Boeing (NYSE:BA) Flight Services, said that, “Boeing (NYSE:BA) is working to develop innovative solutions for our customers as we face tremendous demand for commercial airline pilots. In partnership with IFTC we’re now able to supply capable and well-qualified personnel in facilities close to our customers. This new capability combines IFTC’s expertise and operations with the Boeing (NYSE:BA) Edge – our unparalleled airplane and training knowledge that combines with breakthrough technologies – in a truly remarkable, self-sustaining facility”.
