The struggling Blackberry maker Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM) released a new update for its BlackBerry Mobile Fusion mobile device management (MDM) service on Thursday.

The free update will bring BlackBerry Mobile Fusion to 37 new countries. The Service Pack 1 will add new features to iOS and BlackBerry devices.

Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM)’s enterprise product management senior director Jeff Holleran said, “BlackBerry Mobile Fusion offers a complete end-to-end mobile device management solution, which further extends our leadership in delivering unrivalled enterprise-grade mobility solutions. We have listened to feedback from our customers about how we could help them be even more effective and have prioritized the development of the new features and functionally with this update”.

The deal will allow the company to add more multimedia capability to its phones.

RIM will use the technology to share data across a broad range of platforms.

The new technology will help Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM) to meet demand for mobile devices to display richer images and data than traditional phones.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT) has partnered with Humana on a new healthy rewards program.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT) has joined hands with Humana Inc to support the latter’s healthy rewards program.

As part of the deal, the retailer will give 5 percent credit on about 1,300 healthy food items to more than 1 million healthy reward program members.

The credit will be available from October 15 at its US stores. Qualifying customers can use it against future purchases.

John Agwunobi, president of health and wellness at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT), said, “One of the biggest barriers to healthy nutrition is cost”.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT), the world’s largest retailer, has failed to open its first New York City store in Gateway II, Brooklyn, due to protests from opposition groups.

The groups opposed the new store citing the company’s low wages and poor employee benefits.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT) spokesperson Stephanie Yazgi said, “Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT)’s withdrawal from Gateway II shows that when New Yorkers join arms, event the world’s richest retailer is no match for them. We remain committed to bringing new economic development and shopping options to New York City, especially in the neighbourhoods that need them most”.

The US coffee retailer Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) has opened its first ever pop-up store in Tokyo, Japan. There will be only nine simple, espresso-based drinks including white mocha, soy latte, Double Short Classic Latte, Double Short Classic Cuppuccino and two new limited time drinks.

Ordering the drinks is quite different from usual, however.

Customers have to present a book representing the drink to the register and they will get the book as a memento.

Norio Adachi, head of corporate affairs at Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX), said, “We are trying to get back to basics. More so than attracting new customers, we’re aiming to strengthen communication with our core customers”.

BP plc (NYSE:BP) has agreed to sell its non-operated interest in Draugen to Norske Shell.

The oil and gas major BP plc (NYSE:BP) has struck a $240 million deal with AS Norske Shell to sell 18.36 percent non-operated interest in the Norwegian oil field Draugen.

The company expects to close the deal by the end of 2012 after getting regulatory approval.

Rebecca Wiles, the managing director for BP plc (NYSE:BP)’s Norway operations, said, “BP plc (NYSE:BP) is a significant investor in Norway and is in the final stages of completing two major projects, the Skarv field and the re-development of the Valhall field, which will greatly increase our production from the country. These investments, together with our continuing operation of the Ula field, underline our long term commitment to Norway”.

The world’s largest retailer Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT) is selling T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy SIII for a discount of $50.

The company now offers the device for just $148, whereas T-Mobile is selling the device for $280. The retailer, however, did not announce when the promotion will end.

The Samsung Galaxy SIII features 4.8-inch HD super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.9 mega-pixel front-facing camera.

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) has previewed Spectre-branded Windows 8 all-in one PCs that will be available in the US this November.

The company is launching the Spectre One, Envy 23, Envy Touchsmart 20 and Pavilion 20 with NFC features.

The 23.6 inch Spectre One, which is priced at $1,299, features full HD non-touch display, two USB 2.0 ports, USB 3.0 ports, HDMI connector and NFC technology.

The HP Envy 23 is priced at $999 and Envy 20 is priced at $$799.

They feature HD Touchscreens and 3TB of storage and they will reach the stores in October.

The Pavilion 20, with 2TB of storage and Intel or AMD processors, is priced at $499 and it will be available in October.

Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE:HPQ) company shares are currently standing at 17.59.
