The new ‘Business VoiceEdge’ technology from Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) has advanced features made possible by voice-over-Internet-protocol technology.

The service is now made available in most of Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA)’s Northeastern Division, which covers 14 states from Maine to Virginia and includes the Philadelphia area, and in the Chicago area.

John Guillaume, vice president of product management for voice and unified communications for Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) Business Services said, “The service is especially useful for businesses with multiple locations because, among other things, it allows them to have all their calls taken by a receptionist at one of their offices and routed to the correct person, regardless of which office he’s in.”

Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) stocks are currently standing at 30.35.
