Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) has announced that it has transported 2 million passengers on its Africa services including direct flights from the U.S. to seven African cities in six countries. Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) has launched its first African services in December 2006. Since then it has grown its operations in Africa from 22 weekly departures to more than 60 planned by January 2011.
Perry Cantarutti, the senior vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa of Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) said that, “Africa remains a key part of Delta’s international network strategy and we look forward to expanding our operations with service to Luanda starting in January next year.”
