Categories: News, Stocks

Several breaking news stories will affect stock prices when trading continues. The following companies should see some movement: Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL), BP plc (NYSE:BP) and Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F).

Here is a more detailed look at the news that will affect each company when trading continues.

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)

Screen manufacturer LG has warned that it can not keep up with the demand from Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) for screens for its iPad tablet devices.

After releasing the product in a number of international markets on July 23, demand has continued to grow, and now LG has alluded to certain component supply problems for the IPS displays which give the iPad its crisp, clear screen.

If the bottleneck grows, Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) may look to other manufacturers such as Sharp or Samsung, who would love to get a piece of this blossoming economy.

BP plc (NYSE:BP)

The CEO of BP plc (NYSE:BP), Tony Hayward, who has been at the helm throughout the Gulf Of Mexico oil spill controversy, will step down at the start of October. His replacement will be American Robert Dudley, who will be based in London.

The company also announced that it has set aside more than $32 billion to cope with the cleanup and after-effects of the oil spill.

Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F)

Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) have been talking about their future in the world’s most populous nation, China. “It’s a wonderful market, with wonderful customers, and we are really looking forward to serving them even better,” said Alan Mulally, CEO of Ford. In the first half of 2010, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) sold more than 300,000 cars in China, and the number is rising.

As a new generation of Chinese have more money to spend, and desire for Western products increases, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) see an opportunity to expand.

There will probably be more movement when trading continues for Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL), BP plc (NYSE:BP) and Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F).
