Earlier the company had announced that the production of powerhouse shingles is expected to create around 1,200 jobs in the area by the year 2014.

According to the report, Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is getting ready to acquire Quicksee, whose software has been used to create virtual tours from videos, for an amount of $10 million.

Although The Marketer refused to comment on the news, it is said by some tech gurus that Quicksee could be the missing link in Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s street view mission, supported by Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) Earth and Maps.

Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT)

The software giant Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) has joined hands with Russian authorities in their attempts to stop some advocacy groups as part of its anti-piracy campaign.

The computers of many such groups have been confiscated by the Russian police on suspicions that they are running pirated Windows operating systems.

A similar raid at an environmentalist group had become big news across Russia.
