Several breaking tech stories will affect stock prices when trading continues. The following stocks should see some movement: Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).
Here is a more detailed look at the news that will affect each company when trading continues.
Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG)
A deal between Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) and Yahoo! Japan which, when completed, will see around 90% of the nations internet searches travelling through Google’s servers, has been defended by Japanese regulators.
A similar deal in the USA was scuppered after competition regulators warned of the dangers of such a level of domination in the search market.
The Japanese deal is different, say regulators, as Yahoo! Japan have always relied on other people’s technology to power their web search offerings. Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is currently facing antitrust investigation in Europe over its search share.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) have been fighting a losing battle over the past few years, first against the marketing might of Apple and its iPhone line, and more recently against the rapidly expanding Android operating system, funded in part by Google.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) have promised that the launch of their Windows Phone 7 device will be the ‘biggest launch of the year’ as well as introducing the ‘next generation of smartphones’. The company has stated its desire for developers to make applications that are as ‘widely used as Office’, their wildly popular productivity suite.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)
The oft-forgotten range of dekstop computers which is a core part of the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) b2b offering has been updated, with new Intel chips and better graphics cards.
There was also an announcement by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) that they will be upgrading their high-end Mac Pro models, which should see the light of day in August.
Another new addition to the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) product line is the ‘magic trackpad’, which will bring multi-touch input to any Mac computer. “The new Magic Trackpad is the first Multi-Touch trackpad designed to work with your Mac desktop computer. It uses the same Multi-Touch technology you love on the MacBook Pro”, Apple added on their website.
Expect more movement when trading continues for Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).
