On this news, the company’s stock surged up 40%.

Time Warner (NYSE:TWX)

US homes can now continue with their favorite channels – including ESPN Sports and ABC news – as the ‘cold war’ between Time Warner (NYSE:TWX) and Walt Disney seems to have come to a conclusion.

At the time the negotiation started, the distribution of Disney owned channels was the issue that Time Warner (NYSE:TWX) faced.

People familiar with the matter said that they expect to hear a final notification on Thursday.

Raytheon (NYSE:RTN)

The direct-energy ‘invisible heat-beam weapon’ developed by the leading defense equipment contractor has caused arguments between American Civil Liberties Union Southern California and Los Angeles County Sheriff Department.

In order to tackle the aggression of convicts, Los Angeles County Sheriff wanted to install a version of the equipment.

The ACLU has sent a letter to the department saying that the installation of the new equipment would be against the Eighth Amendment protection against cruel and unusual punishment.
