News broke today that the US Department of Justice has started an investigation into Apple, and their practices regarding the selling of digital music.

Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) is involved in this morning’s announcement of a DOJ investigation into Apple Inc. Reports suggest that Apple’s punishment of music publishers who participated with Amazon.com in relation to digital music sales is being looked at with a view to an antitrust suit. Both Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Apple have refused comment.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) climbed after the opening bell, currently trading at +0.56 (2.69%). The world’s most famous microprocessor manufacturer has made several announcements of lighter and faster chip releases, is looking good for medium term growth.

eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY) recently survived a case in a French court, which claimed the online marketplace should be subject to the same rules and laws as auction houses.
