Compared to last year, Dearborn based auto maker giant Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has improved its total sales figure in January by 7 percent.

The company sold 131,589 vehicles in the month, making it the best January sales month for the Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) brand since 2008.

Ken Czubay, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service said, “January started off with solid sales versus year-ago levels. Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) saw the same solid month, with smaller vehicles in higher demand. Escape continued its record-setting run, and Focus set the pace for car sales in California, Texas and the Southeast.”
