Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has been paying tribute to Heinrich Hertz with a new Google Doodle.

The search engine Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has posted a wave Doodle on its homepage to pay homage to Heinrich Hertz on what would have been his155th birthday.

Hertz was the German physicist who discovered electromagnetic waves which led to the development of radios, television and radars.

He was born on February 22, 1857.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) posted the new logo depicting electromagnetic waves in blue, red, yellow and green colors representing Google colors. The Hertz doodle is a simple animated GIF image.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) shares are currently standing at 614.00.
