Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has been preparing to build a satellite antenna farm in Iowa.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has plans to build a satellite antenna farm in the city of Council Bluff, Iowa, as part of its Google Fiber project.

The company is awaiting approval from the Federal Communications Commission to place an array of 4.5 meter satellite dishes that can be used to receive feeds from broadcast networks.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) wants to deploy a C-band receive-only earth station and Ku-band receive-only earth station near its data center in council Bluff.

The company has already started to deploy fiber-optic lines in Kansas City.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) stocks were at 604.64 at the end of the last day’s trading. There’s been a 1.6% change in the stock price over the past 3 months.
