J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM), a leading financial services firm with global scale and reach, has joined with Houston-based Asset Plus Cos. to buy Harbor View Apartments out of foreclosure, a company that third-party manages roughly 35,000 apartment as well as student apartment units.

Harbor View Apartments was completed but never occupied, as developer Chancellor Development defaulted on the construction loan just before completion.
