BP plc (NYSE:BP) has planned flaring on equipment breakdown.
The company has reported to the California State Environmental regulators that it has plans to flare the excess emissions at the oil refinery in Los Angeles area due to an unexpected breakdown of an equipment.
According to the report to the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the flaring may start at around 11 pm Thursday and could end at almost the same time on Monday.
