Alcoa Inc. (NYSE:AA) has planned to reopen the Massena East Plant.
This plant has been idle for the last two years. The company said that it will be conducting a press conference tomorrow morning and the final decision and other suggestions will be revealed there.

The president of United Steelworkers Local 450, David W. LaClair Jr. said that “Of course we are so thrilled and excited and it’s great news for Massena and the surrounding communities. It’s something that Massena needs.”

Sunoco (NYSE:SUN)

Sunoco (NYSE:SUN)

Sunoco (NYSE:SUN) has announced that it will temporarily stop production units in Pennsylvania.
Almost half the production equipment at its Marcus Hook refinery in Pennsylvania will be closed tomorrow regarding repairs which are totally unplanned.

The company is also planning to stop the production activities in several units at its Philadelphia plant on Feb. 1.

The company spokesman Thomas Golembeski said that “Sunoco (NYSE:SUN) routinely starts up and shuts down processing units and typically doesn’t comment on day-to-day operations.”

News Corp. (NASDAQ:NWSA)

News Corp. (NASDAQ:NWSA)

News Corp. (NASDAQ:NWSA) has announced the retirement of the Chairman of Fox Networks Group.
Tony Vinciquerra, who is the Group Chairman and Chief Executive of FNG, will be stepping down with effect from Feb. 11. He has been serving this current role since 2002 and he said in a statement that he is pursuing “a more entrepreneurial path.”

News Corp. (NASDAQ:NWSA) said in a press release that the CEO of Fox International Channels, David Haslingden will be replacing Vinciquerra.
