The Canadian Commissioner said that Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has broken privacy laws.
The ‘careless collection’ of wireless data is now making never-ending problems for the search giant wherever it goes. Canada is the newest country to shout at Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) for illegal data collection, whether the data collection was committed accidentally or not.
The Commissioner said, “We have learned that while collecting Wi-Fi signals, Google had also captured personal information, some of it highly sensitive. The collection appears to have been careless.”
JP Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM)
Brown & Brown has added J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.’s (NYSE:JPM) Timothy Main to its board of directors.
The company said in an official statement today that it is adding Timothy R. M. Main, a managing director at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.’s (NYSE:JPM) investment banking arm, as a new member to its board of directors.
Main, who has worked at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) for more than 23 years, is the head of the bank’s North America Financial Institutions group.
IBM (NYSE:IBM) has been ranked third in the Green Companies list in Newsweek.
The company came in at close to the top of the list, based on many factors including environmental footprint, eco-friendly policies and management, and the reviews and ratings from the environmental experts.
Following IBM (NYSE:IBM), Hewlett Packard scored the second place and Sony the fourth.
IBM (NYSE:IBM)’s ‘go-green’ initiatives had early start and was having wider attention and reputation. The company is also supporting many greener life missions.
