People who are familiar with the matter say Mr. Baer is expected to join the company by the end of this month.

Legal moves are being made by Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) against its former chief executive. Oracle, which is both a partner and rival of Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ), has made Mark Hurd its co-president and appointed him to its board of directors – thus increasing the fued between the two technology giants.

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) has filed a lawsuit to stop Mark Hurd taking the role, in fears that he may disclose trade secrets to the rival.

American International Group (NYSE:AIG)

American International Group (NYSE:AIG)

An ex-American International Group (NYSE:AIG) executive has been hired by Willis Group to run a new business. The new business is aimed at big corporate customers of rivals Marsh & McLennan Cos. and Aon Corp.

Willis said in a statement that ”This new unit will distinguish the company as a significant player in the global marketplace, positioned to serve the world’s largest clients and challenge entrenched brokers who have a significant share of multinational business”.

We may see more movement when trading continues for JP Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM), Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE:HPQ) and American International Group (NYSE:AIG).
