Kraft Foods (NYSE:KFT) has selected Ted Williams for its new television advertisements.
Ted Williams, an Ohio panhandler who became an Internet sensation when a local paper posted a video of his vocal styling will lend his voice to a new Kraft Foods (NYSE:KFT) ad for the brand that will debut Sunday.

Kraft Foods (NYSE:KFT) spokeswoman Lynne Galia said, “His amazing voice is perfectly suited to our campaign. We were in the middle of making our TV spots and in a unique position to help Ted use his great voice to gain employment.”

FedEx (NYSE:FDX)

FedEx (NYSE:FDX) has decided to close down one of its facility in Ohio.
The company has officially confirmed that it will close its office along Enterprise Boulevard in Toledo at the end of this month. Even though FedEx (NYSE:FDX) has a significant presence in northwest Ohio, the office will be closed as a part of company’s national downsizing move.

FedEx (NYSE:FDX) has decided to cut 1700 jobs nationwide and to consolidate two of its divisions to cut long-term costs for the company.

Merck & Co. Inc. (NYSE:MRK)

Merck & Co. Inc. (NYSE:MRK) has announced the termination of drug development pact with Ranbaxy.
This agreement between Merck and Ranbaxy, which was signed in May 2008, had continued smoothly for almost three years.

The confirmation regarding the termination was given by both Ranbaxy and MSC Pharmaceuticals, which is the Indian affiliate of US-based Merck & Co. Inc. (NYSE:MRK). Neither company would give a reason sfor ending the pact.

As per the deal, both were to jointly work on the development of clinically validated anti-bacterial and anti-fungal drug candidates.
