In order to meet the rising cost of beef and other ingredients, McDonalds Corp. (NYSE:MCD) has planned to increase the price of some menu items.

As grocery stores began raising prices last year, the restaurant industry is expected to raise the prices to meet the commodity costs.

McDonald’s (NYSE:MCD) Chief Financial Officer Pete Bensen said, “As commodity and other cost pressures become more pronounced as we move throughout the year, we will likely increase prices to offset some but not necessarily all of these cost increases.”

McDonald’s Corp. (NYSE:MCD) stocks were at 75.38 at the end of the last day’s trading. There’s been a -4.2% change in the stock price over the past 3 months.
