According to the latest report from research firm Gartner, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Windows Phone 7 platform will help Nokia outperform RIM and Apple, the leaders in the smart phone industry.

The report also says that Android, the free mobile operating system from Google, will revolutionize the industry and will hold the top smart phone position in a few years.

Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT) stocks were at 26.07 at the end of the last day’s trading. There’s been a -8.9% change in the stock price over the past 3 months.
