According to reports, Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) and Microsoft’s negotiations over their smartphone partnership are apparently proceeding on schedule.

The first Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) branded smartphones running Windows Phone 7 should hit stores by next year as their alliance takes shape.

Under the terms of the agreement, Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) will also collaborate with Microsoft on various development and joint marketing initiatives.

Kai Oistamo, the head of corporate development at Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) said that, “Negotiations have progressed very well. They will be concluded well on schedule.”

Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) stocks are currently standing at 9.02.
