Panasonic Corp. (NYSE:PC) has developed a new solution in collaboration with Red Bend Software to protect personal data on Android smartphones, as the machines increase the risk of losing personal data.

The solution protects data including photos, videos, documents and emails.

The company plans to incorporate the new solution with future smartphone models.

Panasonic Corp. (NYSE:PC) has constructed a new mechanism to configure a folder inside the smartphone to protect the personal data and it is isolated from the Android platform. The data in the folder can be accessed only by personal authentication like use of passwords or IC cards.

Panasonic Corp. (NYSE:PC) shares were at 9.22 at the end of the last day’s trading. There’s been a 5.9% movement in the stock price over the past 3 months.
