The CEO of PepsiCo (NYSE:PEP) Europe Zein Abdalla was elected as the new president of the Union of European Beverages Associations (UNESDA), replacing Luis Bach.

Abdalla, who is elected for a two year tenure, has been leading the company for three years.

He said that the association will focus on enhancing the industry’s standing on health and environmental issues.

PepsiCo (NYSE:PEP) Europe chairman Adballa said, “In particular we must ensure that rigorous science is used to underpin the reputation of our core products. I am also convinced that we need to get out there more and tell our good news story”.

PepsiCo (NYSE:PEP) stocks were at 71.12 at the end of the last day’s trading. There’s been a 10.7% change in the stock price over the past 3 months.
