The BlackBerry maker Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM) said it has partnered with the Spanish firm Telefonica to test Near Field Communication (NFC) technology based payment and identity card system in Spain.

As a trial, 350 Telefonica employees will use BlackBerry smartphones to pay for their purchases.

Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM) said the new payment system named Telefonica Wallet for BlackBerry will be launched in next year.
