Reuters has reported that the struggling blackberry maker Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM) is looking to sell some of its troubled assets, including NewBay.

The company acquired the cloud service provider NewBay in October 2011.

Reports also say that IBM had made an informal approach for Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM)’s enterprise service business.

Reuters reported, “The acquisition of NewBay in Dublin, Ireland, was a huge part of the former RIM leadership’s plan to alter its course and boost service revenue by having carriers use its services for messaging, content delivery and analytics on all smartphones”.

Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM) shares were at 8.29 at the end of the last day’s trading. There’s been a -29.8% change in the stock price over the past 3 months.
