The Emir of Qatar has inaugurated Royal Dutch Shell plc (LON:RDSA)’s joint venture, Pearl GTL Project.

The Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani inaugurated the Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL) Project.

Pearl GTL, the largest GTL plant in the world and the largest energy project in Qatar, has been jointly developed by Qatar Petroleum and Royal Dutch Shell plc (LON:RDSA).

Through innovative technology and engineering, Pearl GTL converts natural gas into liquid fuel.

Peter Voser, CEO of Royal Dutch Shell plc (LON:RDSA), said that, “Pearl GTL is a tribute to the remarkable partnership between Qatar Petroleum and Royal Dutch Shell plc (LON:RDSA).
