Home Depot Launches New Marketing Campaign
Home Depot (NYSE:HD) announced that it has unveiled a new spring cause marketing campaign called “Doing Nation”.
Doing Nation is a Facebook initiative and it features “how to” videos and step-by-step instructions about how to complete each project.
Consumers upload a photo of their completed project and select which organization they would like to receive a $100 donation.
The Home Depot Foundation will donate up to $25,000 to each of the four nonprofits for projects completed in their honor, and will double the total amount for the organization that receives the most projects.
Craig Menear, executive vice president of merchandising for Home Depot (NYSE:HD) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Home Depot (NYSE:HD) Foundation, said that, “Home Depot (NYSE:HD) hopes that many will fold to Doing Nation and have fun with these great projects abroad. Every day, we offer important values ??at Home Depot (NYSE:HD), but now we go a step further: we are giving consumers the power to donate up to $ 600, each to support veterans of the nation using our money”.
