ITV plc (LON:ITV) Announces Coronation Street Tribute

The British pay-TV provider ITV plc (LON:ITV) has partnered with Reckless Entertainment to produce a live musical event ‘Street of Dreams’ to celebrate Britain’s longest running soap ‘Coronation Street’.

The show will be aired next March starring past and present actors from the soap.

ITV plc (LON:ITV) said in a statement, “After more than fifty years on air, Britain’s best-loved soap has a glorious heritage of unforgettable stories and iconic characters which have been handpicked and now carefully crafted in to this brilliant musical event by award-winning musical writer, composer and lyricist, Trisha Ward”.

The television broadcaster ITV plc (LON:ITV) has reached an agreement with ASO and Unipublic to broadcast the live coverage of La Vuelta a Espana on ITV.com and ITV4.

La Vuelta will be held from August 20 to September 11, covering 3,300 kilometres.

The company will broadcast two hours of live coverage and 30 minutes highlight programs everyday.

Michelle, who plays the role of the barmaid Tina McIntyre, is currently earning £90,000 per year from the show.

An ITV plc (LON:ITV) source said, “Michelle is over-the-moon. She was always confident of being offered anew deal but actors’ jobs are never secure. She says that life just can’t get any better at the moment and so far this year has been the best of her life”.
