Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s division in Australia has announced that it has launched its new BizSpark Plus program for business incubators.

The program allows business incubators to offer each of their startups up to $60,000 worth of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Windows Azure compute and storage services over a 24-month period.

Gianpaolo Carraro, director of Developer Evangelism, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Australia, said that, “According to the World Bank, Australia is a world leader for ease of starting a new business. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) believes the BizSpark Plus Program will help drive Australian entrepreneurship and innovation further. This program will ensure our Australian software startups have access to world class technology during their inception, giving them a better chance of success and in turn creating jobs, wealth and innovation”.

The Local Language Program (LLP) enables the development of custom language translation and has helped 1.7 billion people worldwide to access technology in their own language. The Local Language Program (LLP) connects languages, cultures and technology.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Local Language Program (LLP) also provides localized versions of Windows and Microsoft Corporation Office in 37 languages and nearly 100 languages are supported by Language Interface Packs through free downloads for Windows, Office and Visual Studio.

Anthony Salcito, vice president of Worldwide Education at Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), said that, “Providing technology in a native language is critical to helping people access the tools they need to create better economic opportunities. Language preservation and support also help preserve cultural identities for the next generation of learners”.

Project Bhasha is an initiative aimed at accelerating local language computing in India and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has already localized Windows and Office in 12 Indian languages.

Shigeru Aoyagi, director and Unesco representative (Bhutan, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka), said that, “Information and communication technologies (ICT) is used in a major way for promoting mother languages. Additionally, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s local language program aims to empower individuals in local communities to create economic opportunities, build IT skills, enhance education outcomes, and sustain their local language and culture”.

Burns & McDonnell, a full-service engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting services firm, expects implementation of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Dynamics CRM will help increase employee productivity and improve client sales and service.

Kris Paper, director of information technology for Burns & McDonnell, said that, “Our company has doubled in size in the past five years, and we needed a new CRM solution to support our growth. The ease of use, flexibility and ability to integrate the client experience across all our global practices that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Dynamics CRM provides will help us meet our business requirements and maximize our client relationships as we continue to grow. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has revealed the Internet Explorer Performance Lab, which is used to measure browser performance.

The IE Performance Lab contains over 120 high-end and low-end computers used to measure IE’s performance and simulates a “mini version of the Internet” to capture everything from high-level CPU and GPU activity.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) stated in an official blog post, that, “Web performance matters to everyone, and one engineering objective for Internet Explorer is to be the world’s fastest browser. To achieve this goal we need to reliably measure browser performance against the real world scenarios that matter to our customers. The data gathered by the Internet Explorer Performance Lab is instrumental in our understanding of browser performance and of the underlying PC hardware, and in developing a fast, fluid, and responsive web experience for users”.
