Overland Park, Kansas based American telecommunications company, Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S), has reportedly decided to launch the LG Viper 4G LTE in the U.S. Market on 22April.

Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S) is releasing the phone with a price tag of $99.99 coupled with a two-year service agreement.

This is the first smartphone to operate in the 4G LTE Network from Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S).

The new Android powered phone can be pre-ordered and pre ordered customers will be able to own it two days before the official release.

Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S) will introduce its first ever LTE smartphone LG Viper this month with a price tag of $100.

The phone will be available with a two-year contract and potential customers can pre-order the phone starting from April 12.

The phone will feature access to the 4G LTE network, Gingerbread operating system, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a front-facing and a rear-facing camera, 4-inch touch screen display and NFC technology.

The telecommunications company Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S) has announced the launch of an IT Helpdesk to help small businesses to solve issues with their computers.

The around the clock service is available both on Sprint and non-Sprint devices with Gold Plan and Platinum Plan options.

The solutions include remote technical support, secure online data backup, data loss protection guarantee, onsite support and computer protection software.

Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S) senior vice president Jaime Jones said, “IT troubleshooting is as critical to a small business as it is to global enterprise. At stake are time, money and productivity losses when a glitch occurs. Small businesses are looking for a partner to help them fix it, and that’s where Sprint wants to be a leader for them with a differentiated and reliable IT solution”.

Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S) has ended the 15-year network-sharing agreement with Philip Falcon’s LightSquared after LightSquared failed to get FCC approval for its LTE network.

The company returned $64 million in payments it has received from LightSquared. The company had previously agreed to host LightSquared’s 1.6GHz spectrum on its infrastructure.

Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S) said in a statement, “We remain open to considering future spectrum hosting agreements with LightSquared, should they resolve these interference issues, as well as other interested spectrum holders”.

Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S) stocks are currently standing at 2.79.

The company will also upgrade 190 networks to 3G in the coming months to provide faster internet connectivity and to reduce dropped calls.

Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S)’s regional vice president of business sales Kimberly Green-Kerr said, “Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S) has a strong and solid presence in Michigan. Not only do we employ hundreds of people throughout the state, but we’ve taken a leadership position with our connected transportation initiatives. The 3G network enhancements only serve to solidify our substantial investment in Michigan”.

The people familiar with the matter said, “Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S) is preparing to take the step as LightSquared approaches a March 15 deadline to meet certain conditions under the agreement”.
