Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) has reportedly teamed up with 200 New Jersey youths to volunteer at an Earth Day Event.
Verizon Communications Boosts Earth Day Event
The Verizon Foundation, the philanthropic wing of New York City based multinational telecommunications company and broadband internet service provider, Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ), has reportedly joined hands with 200 New Jersey youths to volunteer on projects and activities as a part of Earth Day Event which is to be conducted at Rutgers University on April 22.
Jim Gowen, Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ)’ vice president and chief sustainability officer, said, “Sustainability is a key priority at Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ), and this event is a unique way to engage our employees and the community to support sustainability initiatives and celebrate Earth Day. This also will help these youths learn important lessons about the value of good environmental citizenship.”
