Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT) has stopped selling Amazon Kindles.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT) announced that it will no longer serve as a showroom for Amazon’s Kindle devices.

The retailer has now stopped selling its competitor’s Kindle tablets and eReaders, however the superstore will continue to sell other tablets, eReaders and accessories.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT) said in a statement, “We have recently made the business decision to not carry Amazon tablets and eReaders beyond our existing inventory and purchase commitments. This includes all Amazon Kindle models current and recently announced”.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT) shares are currently standing at 74.75.
